 Movie Event!

Studio Movie Grill in Downey showed our short film: “The Great Connector” on Sept. 23rd  to a very enthusiastic audience! We also had a live performance with all our facilitators plus our special guest Matt Flynn, drummer from Maroon 5. Below are a few pictures from the event.










Los Angeles County Dept. of Mental Health (DMH) moves DFYL to full contract

DMH is expanding our work by offering us a full contract. This is a two year process but will make our programs available to all 25 of their Wellness Centers!! In October we’ll be starting at our first one: Northeast Mental Health Center in Los Angeles.


Los Angeles County Arts Commission Expands

ARTS Commission is now the Los Angeles Dept. of Arts and Culture and will be looking to expand our work with them. A very exciting time for them and their vendors.

Summer Night Lights and DFYL

DFYL facilitators worked for 8 weeks at two summer sites with families through the L.A. Mayors summer programs. It was a great success!!



 We welcome Maggie Graves to the team. She is working as office manager!!!
